Now that the Thor: Metal Gods preorder link is live and a few plot details have been announced, I can finally post some of my (non-spoiler-y) calligraphy doodles from the writers’ room!

Aaaaand Jay’s cryptic calligraphic not-spoilers from the Thor audio novel he co-wrote. MAJOR KEY! -M

Marvel’s Thor: Metal Gods Audio Series Coming from Serial Box:

postcardsfromspace:

ICYMI, I collaborated on a Thor audio novel with some really brilliant folks; and the full title, a few plot details, and a preorder link are now LIVE.

(An aside to X-Men fans: While I can’t officially confirm or deny the presence of any characters not mentioned in the press release, I can tell you that the working title of my first chapter was “Steal This Chapter.”)

Jay co-wrote a Thor audio novel! A THOR AUDIO NOVEL! And while I can’t talk about details, I can vehemently say that everything he’s told me about it makes this Thor fan epically excited. We’re in for some awesomeness. -M

MAGIK redesign for the Designing X-Women panel at

@FlameCon

I approached this thinking of what would I like to draw if assigned an X-Men in space story. I started with a generic suit that any character can use, for it I played with the new X brand from House of X and used it as interlocking pattern to create belts and harness.

Then I picked MAGIK to sport it and added signature elements that make her recognizable even without showing face and hair. The headpiece, an astronaut-ed version of the armored arm, and the shapes on the helmet call back to her hairstyle and the old position of her horns.

Baby me: Jay and Miles are talking about Excalibur so I’ll read it. Wow they were right, it’s amazing that Alan Davis made Rachel Summers’ hair so gorgeous. Like it’s literally a mullet. She rocks it so hard. So pretty. Such art. Alan Davis is so good! || Me now: I am very gay and very grateful to this podcast. (Sorry I just needed to get that out. I love your podcast and listened to it religiously through high school)

Aw, wow! (It is still SO WEIRD to me that our podcast has been around for long enough for anyone to have listened to it through all of high school!)

Congratulations, and good luck with wherever your life takes you next!

XO,

Jay
