I have to apologize for these scans. As I’ve mentioned, I’m reading these issues from the Inferno Prologue omnibus, which is awesome, but there are no scans of these restored X-Factor issues that are worth a good god damn anywhere on the Internet. Not on Marvel Unlimited or from their store, or even within the murky shadows of the Darknet (Pirate Bay counts as the Darknet, right? Shut up don’t ruin my fantasy that I’m some illicit hacker when I use Google to get to the Pirate Bay). I’ve been doing the best with what I’ve got, going so far as to take photos of the smaller panels right out of the very book I’m reading (just like I used to do!), but I can’t bring myself to scan the pages of the omnibus myself and risk damaging the spin. So some of these posts are going to look like shit. Anyway, this scene is noteworthy, because months after her resurrection Jean finally goes to see her family, who she probably doesn’t even realize disowned her when she turned into the Dark Phoenix (since she was in suspended animation at bottom of Jamaica Bay when the Phoenix assumed her identity).
