Holy cow look at this early artwork from Todd McFarlane. The Hulk looks like some kind of malignant bone tumor here. I mean, most of Todd MacFarlane’s artwork looks like malignant bone tumors, if I’m being honest, but in my professional artistic opinion, this picture of the Hulk looks more like a malignant bone tumor than usual. And thanks for the detailed exposition here on why the Hulk is grey all of a sudden (sarcasm). Is this the first time in the history of comics where they are like “yeah, yeah, don’t worry about it” instead of spending 13 pages expositing on what you just read in the last couple of issues? Too bad, because I could have really used a reminder for once. (The Incredible Hulk #336 – October 1987)
